Battle of the Networks: Doyle, Wilkinson and Sully get competitive

But her husband Prince Frederik and a number of well-known faces have all made their way to North Queensland for the annual VIP event.

Fashion and interior designer Collette Dinnigan kicked off proceedings on Saturday night, hosting a beachside dinner “under the crescent moon” with the help of Today’s Lisa Wilkinson as emcee at Outrigger in Catseye Beach.

Inspired by the 1985 film, Out of Africa, guests including actors Teresa Palmer and Richard Roxburgh, and fashion influencer Nicole Warne, all donned their best khaki-chic ensembles, as they sat back and enjoyed a spread by chef Matt Moran.

The next day Wilkinson cosied up to Channel Seven’s Mel Doyle and Channel Ten’s Sandra Sully for a windswept snap on the back of a yacht.

“What network rivalry?” she tagged it.

But Sully didn’t seem to share the sentiment, showing off her competitive side by jokingly holding up two fingers behind Wilkinson’s head as bunny ears in a similar snap on her Instagram.

It was another star-studded affair on Sunday night when Audi celebrated a milestone 20 years supporting the race week at Long Pavilion, Qualia.

Hacksaw Ridge star Palmer was announced as a new ambassador, as was chef Andrew McConnell, while guests were treated to a nostalgic photographic exhibition of past representatives, including Chris Hemsworth and Hugh Jackman.

In between races and soirees, guests were making sure to soak up their eye-watering surroundings with the likes of fashion influencer Nadia Fairfax and models Jimmy Niggles and Zac and Jordan Stenmark paddleboating while sipping on champagne at Whitehaven Bay on Monday.

“Boats, bubbles, boards a few backflips .. What more could [one] need?” Fairfax captioned the snap.

On the way to join in in the festivities are Francesca Packer, niece of James Packer, Sweaty Betty boss Roxy Jacenko and US model, Jessica LaRusso.
